Chia pudding is one of the easiest ways to incorporate the chia seeds superfood into your diet. It is a healthy snack loaded with protein, fiber and healthy fats. You can make the basic chia pudding recipe in a matter of minutes, with only three ingredients, and flavor or top it with your favorite fruits afterwards (e.g. bananas, strawberries).
Basic Chia Pudding Recipe
The three ingredients you need are milk (almond milk or milk of choice), chia seeds and sweetener of choice (e.g. honey, maple syrup, agave syrup). First, pour 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, 1/2 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of sweetener into a mason jar and mix well. Let the mixture settle for 2-3 minutes, then mix again very well until you see no clumping (the mixing part is really important for the chia pudding to turn out well). Cover the jar and store in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight. When you’re ready to eat it, top with fresh fruit and enjoy cold! The chia pudding will keep good in the fridge for about a week, so you can easily meal prep your favorite chia pudding for breakfast or as a snack throughout the week!
